Britain Helps Ukraine with More Than 80000 Helmets

The UK has provided assistance to Ukraine with 84000 additional MK6 and MK6A helmets. The MK6 is a combat helmet that the British army began to equip in the 1980s and was used until 2009. This helmet is not made of Kevlar material, but is made of bulletproof nylon. The MK6A is the enhanced protection type of the MK6, which is black, while the MK6 is green. The British military has been replacing lighter MK7 helmets since 2009, so these MK6 and MK6A helmets sent to Ukraine this time should be retired and sealed as second-hand helmets.
